Following the stories of Bruce Lisker and Reggie Cole who spent year after year in prison for murders they didn't commit, the public gets a harrowing look at how barbaric the US justice system is. Ultimately, the film asks how we can survive the prison model and looks at better solutions to conflict, harm reduction, crime and more. “Survivors Guide to Prison” is a reflection on the fact that it is easier to go to prison in the US than in any other country in the world. However, the director points out that countless Americans are joining forces to change this disastrous system.
