Sumo East and West plot
About the cultural changes that the Japanese world of sumo wrestling has to face as more and more foreigners participate. Not only is it Japan's national sport, but it is also an ancient cultural treasure. This strict, traditional world is now joined by larger and heavier American counterparts of Polynesian descent, namely Hawaii. In addition, the popularity of the sport in the West is increasing. The representatives there want to accommodate the sport at the Olympics, as well as organize amateur tournaments in casinos in Las Vegas that have little in common with the sumo world in Japan. This changing world is examined through the story of the Hawaiian Wayne Vierra.
