Sugartown: Oi Gabroi plot

Farmers are not only looking for women in the Netherlands. For example, in 'Sugartown The Bridegrooms' we see the Greek village of Zacharo, full of hungry men. The church bells only ring for funerals, never again for a wedding. Kostas has everything he needs in life, he says: a house, car, tractor, land, animals and money. Everything except that one. Or rather: that one. Because the twenty-eight-year-old goat herder wants a wife so badly. Someone who will take care of him and start a family with. But all the nice girls have fled the village where Kostas lives; twelve thousand souls Zacharo in western Greece. Finally, the men leave for Russia, hoping to find a coveted bride. She doesn't even have to be beautiful, as long as she wants to come to Greece and stay there. "We'll go there, grab the women and take them back," the mayor says boldly.
