Stuk plot

Piece is a four-part documentary series in which a number of people are followed during the period they spend in a rehabilitation center. The series exposes what happens when fate suddenly strikes. A traffic accident, an accidental fall from the stairs or a brain haemorrhage; it takes place within a second, but after that life is little like it used to be. Suddenly that body is broken, as if it were a machine. In Stuk we see how some patients work on shaping their new lives. What is left of you now that your old life seems to be over in one fell swoop? The series, which also follows some of the practitioners, tells their story like a novel.
