Staphorst in Tegenlicht plot

Staphorst is like an onion from which you slowly peel off the skins to get to the core. When one finally gets through this, it becomes clear that in the village there is a field of tension between tradition and church on the one hand and democratic government and free choice of the individual on the other. By showing the political play of forces in the village alongside the events within a family, a portrait of present-day Staphorst is created.
