Sound City plot
"That board. That room. That is Sound City."
Deep in the valley of San Fernando, amid rows of dilapidated warehouses, stood rock 'n roll's best kept secret: Sound City. As the legend grew, pioneering bands and artists like Fleetwood Mac, Neil Young, Rick Springfield, Tom Petty, Metallica and Nirvana came here to record their musical magic on tape. Through interviews and performances, they not only tell the story of this sanctuary, but director and musician Grohl also gathers some of the greatest musicians to work on a new album.
