Somboon plot

"How much you are willing to do for your soulmate?"

Grandfather Somboon Ruekkhumyee lives with his wife Lamaid in a stilt house in the countryside around the city of Ayutthaya in the Sena District, Thailand. With only one breast and one kidney left, Lamaid is a stubborn lady with unruly hair who loves spicy food. Since she lost a kidney, patient Somboon has been her devoted caretaker. Without grumbling, he helps her out of bed, drags her to the door on a rug, bathes her and performs her dialysis at home, up to four times a day. Every month they take a trip by tuk-tuk to the city, thirty kilometers away, for a check-up in the hospital.
