Silence of Reason plot

In the municipality of Foča, in eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina, women were raped and abused on a large scale during the Bosnian war. Women and girls, sometimes as young as twelve years old, were locked up in various locations for gang rape by mainly Serb fighters. Reason for the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia to regard 'systematic rape' and 'sexual slavery', until then war crimes that were not always prosecuted, as torture and crimes against humanity.
