Shungu: The Resilience of a People plot

The people of Zimbabwe are trying to survive. Since Robert Mugabe was democratically elected head of state in 1980, the savior has transformed himself into a dictator. Partly because of his political decisions, the population is struggling with a plunging economy, extreme inflation and epidemics that could have been prevented. Mafundikwa, filmmaker and graphic designer, returned to his native country 10 years ago. He visits Zimbabweans to see with his own eyes how impossibly hard their lives have become.
