Seguir Siendo: Café Tacvba plot
Café Tacvba, one of Mexico's most popular rock bands, has played in the same line-up since its formation in 1989: Rubén Isaac Albarrán Ortega, Emmanuel 'Meme' del Real Díaz, José Alfredo 'Joselo' Rangel Arroyo and Enrique 'Quique' Rangel Arroyo . Later on, Alejandro Flores was added. Their music: an exciting mix of ska, indie rock and Latin rock. Directors Ernesto Contreras and José Manuel Cravioto initially wanted to make a short documentary about Café Tacvba's tour through Japan. But there turned out to be a lot more to tell. And so the film grew into a full-fledged rockumentary of almost one and a half hours about twenty years of pop history. The makers mainly focus their camera on life 'on the road'. So we see a lot of planes, buses, hotels and changing rooms. Meanwhile, it becomes clear how the creative process works - and how thanks to their mutual friendship, problems, frustrations and arguments are overcome. Of course there is also a lot of music.
