Sayōnara plot

Eyad fled from Syria to Denmark. He feels lost and often sits alone in his room. His mother takes care of him, but worries about what will happen when she is gone. Danish filmmaker William Andreas Wivel uses his own experience of his mother's death for this touching farewell, which explores the emotional complexity of saying goodbye to a loved one and how you can lose yourself in the process.
