Sanggye-dong Olrimpic plot

Before the 1988 Seoul Olympics, the Korean government forced the redevelopment of Daldongne, because the poor hill town was not to be seen by the foreign guests arriving for the Games. Including Sanggye-dong, the residents of two hundred Daldongne areas were evicted. The government demolished all the houses and suppressed them with gangsters, bulldozers and riot police.
