Rotterdam-Europoort plot

This work contains both documentary and dramatic elements, all with the "gate to Europe" as the stage. We see the lost soul of the captain of the Flying Dutchman, who can't get ashore anywhere, not even here on Europe. Locations such as the Botlek, where we mainly see machines that crush everything that is fragile, together with the accompanying text, do not form a cheerful picture of industrialization. We also witness a Sinterklaas party and a wedding, apparently happy gatherings of people, where the couple seems to die away in a dusty photo book, as if they are in a futureless reality.
