Robin Hood Gardens plot

The now demolished modernist residential building Robin Hood Gardens often takes opposing positions within the architectural discourse. Was the 1972 addition to the London cityscape of Alison and Peter Smithson a misunderstood masterpiece or a well-intentioned failure? Fifty years later, filmmakers Thomas Beyer and Adrian Dorschner capture the building in all its glory, just before the wrecking ball ends the Smithson's opus magnum.
