Resistance: They Fought Back plot
This documentary focuses on Jewish resistance to the Nazi regime and the plan to exterminate European Jewry. It aims to illuminate a far-too-familiar aspect of the conventional Holocaust narrative. The film aims to be nothing less than a corrective to the dominant narrative of the Holocaust, in which Jewish victims silently went to their fate "like sheep to the slaughter." On the contrary, there were more than ninety armed uprisings in ghettos and concentration camps, thousands of Jewish partisans fighting in the forests, and countless examples of nonviolent resistance against the Nazis.
