Ray Charles America plot

A series of culturally significant Americans characterize the blind black musician Ray Charles, who in the turbulent fifties and sixties connected black and white America thanks to his swinging soul music. The documentary contains interviews, historical recordings, archive photos, concert fragments, location images and news moments. This creates an image of the musician who was blind, black and addicted - to women, drugs and money - but who did not allow himself to be pigeonholed and who grew into the personification of the American dream.
