Radio Bani Gansé plot

Maarten Schmidt and Thomas Doebele went to the north of Benin and made a documentary about Radio Bani Gansé, the local radio station in Banikoara, a penniless provincial town of 25,000 inhabitants. For three weeks they followed the reporters who go out seven days a week to make their reports for the daily broadcast. Radio Bani Gansé shows, through the reporters, life in the African hinterland and tells the story of the cotton farmers who every year go into debt at the bank at usurious interest to buy pesticides and fertilizers for a cotton crop whose yields are constantly increasing. becomes more uncertain.
