Quirino Cristiani plot

Who made the first animated film? Today unknown, Quirino Cristiani taught himself the art of animation, far away from the experimental artists in Europe and commercial Hollywood. 'El Apóstol', the first animated film ever, had its premiere in Buenos Aires in 1917. In 1931, Cristiani achieved another breakthrough when he produced 'Peludópolis', the first animated film with sound. This documentary shows what remains of his work and also includes a lost interview and two short films that were rediscovered during the making of this film.
