A child of victims and a child of perpetrators. Still, they became friends for life. Simon Gronowski and Koenraad lost almost everything in World War II but found each other. Attorney Simon Gronowski was the only one of his family to survive the Holocaust. Artist Koenraad Tinel's family, on the other hand, were passionate followers of Adolf Hitler and his Third Reich. The Jewish boy and the Nazi child became best friends during their later years.
