Prysmerk plot

82-year-old Maria and her sick son Sashko spend their days in a remote province. Sashko has become blind due to a serious illness. He fears that his mother is dying, but Maria clings desperately to life as she realizes that no one will care for her son. Unwilling to give up, Maria buys a calf and Sashko begins to build a tractor, groping in the dark.
