Primate plot
Wiseman has set up his cameras at the Yerkes Regional Primate Research Center, a scientific institute that studies the behavior of great apes. He shows scientists who talk about animals as if they were insensible objects, who subject the animals to all sorts of impossible and painful investigations without batting an eyelid. The monkeys are electronically stimulated so that their sexual activities can be tested. Vivisections are performed in cold blood. Never before have you seen monkeys hopping around so unhappy and listless as in this staggering, shocking documentary.
