Pop Goes Islam plot

Now that Mubarak is no longer in power in Egypt, Ahmed Abu Haiba is no longer bothered by the Egyptian secret police. However, the future of his two-year-old Islamic music channel 4Shbab ('For Youth') is far from certain. Based in Cairo, Haiba and his team try to maintain the ancient values of Islam, but with a more modern approach to appeal to the youth as well. Yet there are many conservative Muslims who think even this is going too far. Backers start to hesitate and want Haiba to adjust the programming. The first model with a headscarf is also followed, 26-year-old Yasmine Mohsen. She was initially going to present a talk show for 4Shbab, but she is also accused of un-Islamic behavior: after all, she is a model and looks too seductively into the camera...
