Playing Lecuona plot

The nicknames of the Cuban composer, pianist and orchestra leader Ernesto Lecuona (1895-1963) tell a lot about the enormous influence he had on Latin American music. He is called the father of Cuban music as well as the Cuban Gershwin. In “Playing Lecuona“, he is honored by three contemporary Caribbean pianists, who have also earned their spurs: Chucho Valdés, Michel Camilo and Gonzalo Rubalcaba.
