If we want to achieve our climate and energy targets, offer future generations a future and safeguard biodiversity, we must first and foremost think differently about housing and construction, development and mobility. That is the position of the Flemish master builder Leo Van Broeck, who regards 'spatial humility' as a planetary civic duty. The documentary shows that that mind switch does not have to be dominated by cutbacks, austerity or loss. 'Planning for Place' is a journey along Flemish roads in search of innovative spatial projects and fresh ideas about the design of our living environment.
