Persona Non Grata plot
Documentary by Fabio Wuytack about the life of his father Frans Wuytack. In the second half of the 1960s, he worked as a committed young priest in the slums of Venezuela. When a social and cultural popular revolt broke out there, 'padre Francisco' became a driving force of the resistance. He was promptly expelled from the country by the Venezuelan authorities. Back in Belgium, Frans Wuytack became involved in the Antwerp port strike in 1973. There, too, he turned out to be a key figure and was declared 'persona non grata' by the authorities. Even after a series of trials and expulsion from the Church, Frans Wuytack remained his own rebellious self. Thirty years later, he returns to Latin America with his son Fabio. Fabio meets countless colorful figures who take him into the labyrinth of his father's past.
