In 1961 the German science fiction saga "Perry Rhodan" saw the light of day. Even today, the book series has readers all over the world and especially in Germany. On the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the book series in September 2011, the filmmaker André Schäfer seizes the opportunity to make this documentary. The widows of the authors Scheer and Voltz provide new insights into the work of their deceased husbands, as well as the current writers of the series.
