Out of the Present plot

In May 1991, Soviet cosmonauts Anatoli Artsebarsky and Sergei Krikalev set out for the MIR space station as part of the Ozone space mission. Arzebarski, the commander, returns to Earth five months later - exactly as planned - but Krikalev is forced to stay in space for almost ten months due to the chaotic political situation. He left the Soviet Union and returned to Russia. The failed coup d'état of August 1991 in Moscow puts an end to an era for good.
