Our War plot

Since 2013, more than 30,000 fighters from around the world have joined Islamic State forces in Syria. Several hundred Westerners are fighting them as part of the YPO (Popular Protection Command) in Rojava. This is the story of three of them: a former US Marine, an Italian anti-capitalist activist and a Swedish bodyguard. They are twenty-year-olds who have left their homes to fight against Isis side by side with the Kurds, lose their companions, discover a human and political dimension to the conflict and see their lives changed beyond repair...
