Opt Ilustrate din Lumea Ideala plot

In his new found footage documentary, Radu Jude focuses on advertising. Together with philosopher Christian Ferencz-Flatz, he looks at the image formation in Romania in the period after 1989, when the country changed from a socialist one-party state to a capitalist democracy. The documentary consists of dozens of Romanian commercials that were made during the post-socialist period. In addition to various products, the advertisements also promote capitalism. In this way, Romanians are presented with a dream image, accompanied by the promise that this is within everyone's reach through consumerism.
