Opera in de Rimboe plot

Director René van 't Erve films the execution of his own idea: the performance of an opera in Amsterdam's Floradorp, by residents of the same neighbourhood. Soloists Rinus, Anne, Frans and Mario are followed from the auditions: during their vocal training with coach Marianne, during rehearsals, but also in their daily lives. Not only do we see the opera slowly but surely taking shape, but we also see more and more of the people who perform the opera. Their life stories are told with a lot of Amsterdam humor and perspective.
