One Day after Peace plot

Robi Damelin not only seeks contact with her son's killer through a letter, but she also tries to place her own grief in a broader context. 'All my life I have campaigned for coexistence, for peaceful coexistence.' That is why Damelin, who emigrated from South Africa to Israel in 1967, returns to her homeland more than forty years later to investigate whether she can learn something in all her mourning from the methods of truth and reconciliation that have been used in South Africa to to come to terms with the apartheid past.
