Ondskabens Anatomi plot

For this film essay, Ove Nyholm explored the evil in man. What are the motivations of a wartime mass murderer? How does he return to his old life after the genocide? A Serbian paramilitary says he would go crazy if he remembered every murder. A Serb of the special police tells how they opened fire on a house full of people. Nyholm draws a comparison with Hitler's Einsatz groups that wreaked havoc on the Eastern Front during the Second World War. A commander at the time talks about efficiency in executions: women held their children so that they could be killed with one bullet.
