Off the Menu: The Last Days of Chasen's plot

The Chasen family started a restaurant on Beverly Boulevard in Hollywood in 1936. During the heyday of American cinematography, this originally rather insignificant dining room grew into a reputed nightspot for movie stars, producers and politicians. Chasen's chili in particular became a household name. When Elisabeth Taylor stayed in Rome for filming, she had a large portion fly over every two weeks.
