Ode to My Mother plot

Tahra Abdul Hafiz Al-Siba'i (1933-2011) was an acclaimed artist, writer, poet and mother from Saudi Arabia, whose personal and family triumphs are finally recognized in this documentary. She resisted all traditions, then left Mecca in her twenties and took her young children from the Middle East to Europe for a better education. In the process, Tahra transformed herself from an uneducated matriarch into a book writer and a respected icon within the fashion world. Her influential style revived the lost beauty of Bedouin fashion and gave fashionable Europe a taste of Arabic style.
