Oaivveskaldjut plot

The Sami people live in the far north of Scandinavia, spread across Norway, Finland, Sweden and Russia. They have been fighting oppression and discrimination for centuries. Niillas Somby is a distant descendant of two Sami leaders, who were executed in Norway in 1854 for resisting the Norwegian government. They were beheaded and their skulls and skeletons were donated to anatomical science. Niillas' efforts - since 1980 - to recover the bones of his ancestors expose a part of Scandinavian history, revealing a deep-seated racism.
