Late Night Talks with Mother is a self-portrait by Czech filmmaker Jan Nemec, who was inspired by Kafka's 'Letter to Father'. A fictional dialogue between Nemec and his deceased mother forms the soundtrack for images of Prague, which follow the route of tram line 11: from the statue of Wencelas in the center to the Strasniccrematorium, where the son goes in search of his mother's grave .
