Rick Prelinger, founder of one of the most respected film archives in the world, has spent the last ten years focusing on "home movies." He has compiled a travelogue from New York to California from his historical collection of over 9,000 films. But it is also a journey through time, because history is immortalized in the landscape along the way: traces of the Crisis, of WWII and Vietnam, the transition from provincial roads to highways, and so on.
