In 1991, a band by the unlikely name Manic Street Preachers appeared on the British music scene with the ambition to make one album, sell 16 million copies of it and then split it up. A quarter of a century later, several hits, and one band member less, they are still there. Now this colorful and controversial band confronts their fans with a multimedia mash-up experiment that turns the traditional rock'n'roll documentary on its head. To make No Manifesto, the Manics give a glimpse into their kitchen. The film tells the story of their rise from empowered punks to international celebrities, takes a look at the band's creative process and accompanies them on tour. Combining footage shot at home and on the road with rare archival footage and fan interviews with commentary, lore, criticism and praise, No Manifesto provides an in-depth look at an unusual band.
