No Contract, No Cookies: The Stella D'Oro Strike plot

The Stella D'Oro bakery, a company that had provided work for generations and provided a decent living for many hundreds of employees, was taken over by a private equity fund. Immediately afterwards, the transferees demanded concessions from the employees in terms of wages and benefits. The workers went on strike for many months, culminating in a victory in court. But the fund has simply rooted the company into a "right to work" state.
