New Homeland plot

In Canada there is a scheme that offers Canadians the opportunity to be a private sponsor of a refugee family for a year, with the aim of familiarizing the newcomers in their new environment. Through their sponsors, a number of Syrian and Iraqi boys from Toronto are introduced to the summer camp phenomenon, where they camp in the middle of nature and learn all kinds of new skills. They also participate in a six-day canoe trip.
