My Undesirable Friends: Part I - Last Air in Moscow plot

Four months before the large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, filmmaker Yulia Loktev travels to Moscow to make a documentary about young female journalists labeled "foreign agents" by Putin's regime. In their work, including for Russia's last independent television channel, TV Rain, they face draconian regulations and the constant threat of imprisonment. Several of their colleagues have already been murdered. Loktev shows up close how authoritarianism operates and can escalate dangerously in a short time, while ordinary life seems to continue.
