My Own Private War plot

How do you come to terms with your war past and make sure you don't burden your children with it? Lidija Zelovic tries to find an answer to that question. Zelovic grew up in Sarajevo, then Yugoslavia, where in 1992 a civil war broke out that divided the population to the bone. In 1993 she fled to the Netherlands. As a war correspondent and later as a filmmaker, she tries to get closer to the truth behind war. Friends and relatives behave differently, even now that the war has long ended. What happened to them?
