My Mate Manchester United plot

Following a man's strange dream to be named after his favorite football club, the director brings us close to a Bulgarian builder and his memorable friends. This documentary is a moving portrait of contemporary Bulgaria with its bewildered and confused inhabitants, so disappointed with life there that they lose themselves in their own alternate reality. The journey starts in Svishtov, a small town on the bank of the river Danube, where the protagonist clashes with the authorities and leads us all the way to Old Trafford Stadium. There he meets his idol, the Manchester United top striker Dimitar Berbatov. Once home, questions arise about identity, about who they are and who they want to be.
