My Generation plot

Who says 70 is old? The rock choir "My Generation" proves the opposite. "My Generation" is a choir specially founded for seniors. In this documentary, the choir is followed on their way to their biggest performance ever: opening the rock festival of the Netherlands: De Zwarte Cross. The choir consists of a unique group of seniors from different cultures and backgrounds. They decided to form a rock choir five years ago. In the meantime, the choir has grown into a close-knit group of 32 members.

My Generation' is a choir that mainly consists of 70-plussers and sings rock classics by The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who and The Kinks. Fun is more important than talent and the choir wants to inspire seniors in particular to stay away from the proverbial geraniums. To their great surprise, the ladies and gentlemen receive an invitation to open De Zwarte Cross 2024. Graafmans visited some members at home and films the preparation and of course the final performance. Unfortunately, Graafmans sticks to recording and shows no interest in the personal stories of the members. As a result, it unfortunately remains quite superficial. And the finale is not the climax you had hoped for.
