Mongools Goud plot

The idiosyncratic cellist Ernst Reijseger goes in search of Mongolian 'white gold': the best horsehair in the world for the bow. In the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar he meets students at the national music academy and instrument builders. On the steppes he speaks with traditional horse violin players and singers. The story of the horsehair is set against the background of explosive developments in mining and increasing urbanization and environmental pollution in booming Mongolia.
