Mogadishu Soldier plot
Since 2006, the radical Islamists of Al-Shabaab have been battling the Somali government for control of the country. Meanwhile, the African Union is carrying out a peace mission (AMISOM) under the UN flag, with soldiers from Burundi and Uganda. These soldiers are fighting Al-Shabaab in the center of Mogadishu, the Somali capital with two million inhabitants. Two soldiers from the mission were given a camera by documentary maker Torstein Grude to film what they themselves thought was important. For a year, they recorded various elements of warfare, from shooting from trenches and life in the camp to the sight of the dead and wounded in the streets.
