Meragel ha-Shampaniya plot

When he was 12 years old, Oded Gur Arie was told by his father Major Ze'ev Gur Arie that he was actually a spy for the Mossad. He had to swear to keep this a secret at all costs. Ze'ev Gur Arie was given a different image by the Mossad in 1960, that of Wolfgang Lotz, an ex-Nazi, now a millionaire and horse breeder. His mission was to infiltrate the circles of German scientists working on weapons of mass destruction in Egypt. Gur Arie left his son and wife and became known as 'the champagne spy'. Only now does his son break the silence and tell the story of his father, and that of himself and his mother, living in the shadow of the Mossad.
