Between Berlin and the Baltic Sea lies one of the regions with the greatest biodiversity in Germany: a labyrinth of lakes, forests, hills, and valleys, many of which have barely been explored. The area is home to large birds of prey: the white-tailed eagle and its much rarer relative, the greater spotted eagle, as well as the osprey.
