Me a Belgian, My Mother a Ghanaian plot

At the age of 14, Adams travels to Belgium to live with his father. His mother stays behind in Ghana. Three years after his departure, his mother has a stroke. As a teenager, he is unable to help his sick mother. Over the next few years, he is weighed down by a growing sense of guilt. Six years after the incident, Adams returns to Ghana to visit his ailing mother and find out what happened to her. The beginning of an emotional journey, more far-reaching than planned.
