Mayskaya Street plot

In a sleepy Belarusian village, time seems to stand still. Student Kostja, who has just turned 18, is preparing to vote for the first time in his life. Kostja, who shares his less rosy prospects with the viewer in voice-over, has no illusions about the outcome: democracy does not exist in Belarus and the rule of the dictatorial president Lukashenko will not end in the winter of 2015 either. .
